Mammalian Physiological Parameters With the supervision of Dr. Murray Humphries and the collaboration of Dr. Pierre Legendre and Dr. Andrew Hendry, I performed a meta-analysis on the predictors of variation in mammalian physiological parameters during which I collected, through the literature, and analysed metabolic, phylogenetic, allometric, environmental, trophic, and ecological data for more than 200 mammal species. This side project was originally funded by an Undergraduate Student Research Award (NSERC).

Behaviour and Evolutionary Biology After completing my master’s project, I became a research assistant in the Biology Department of Queen’s University, Ontario, where I worked in Dr. Bob Montgomerie’s evolutionary biology research laboratory and supervised studies on colour discrimination, personality (e.g., exploratory behaviour, dominance and neophobia) and cognition in black-capped chickadees (Poecile atricapillus).
